Restore Procedure

The restore procedure describes how to restore eyeInspect data to a fresh installation.

Note: When restoring eyeInspect components, make sure they match the exact same version of the backup.
Note: Ensure that you have read permission to the directory where the backup folder is located. The permission can be granted by running the command chmod a+x <folder> (replace folder with the directory of the backup folder).

Restore a Command Center

  1. Log into the Command Center server via SSH.
  2. Run the Command Center Backup and Restore Script by issuing the following command:
    sudo /opt/sdconsole/scripts/backup-cc.sh -restore <path>

    Replace <path> with the location of the backup folder.

Restore a Passive Sensor

  1. Log into the Passive Sensor server via SSH.
  2. Run the Passive Sensor Backup and Restore Script by issuing the following command
    sudo /opt/nids-docker/bin/backup-passive-sensor.sh -restore <path>

    Replace <path> with the location of the backup folder.

Note: After restoring, wait for the analytics refresh process to run as per the schedule in order to view analytics data.
