Install the Passive Sensor Plugin

The Passive Sensor plugin cannot run in parallel with the DPI plugin.

To install the Passive Sensor Plugin:
  1. Navigate to the Downloads page on the Customer Support Portal.
  2. Download the .fpi file for the component. The filenames are:
    • Passive Sensor Plugin version 6.0.1: ForeScout-otsensor-6.0.1-60010010.fpi
    • Passive Sensor Plugin version 7.0.1: ForeScout-otsensor-7.0.1-70010015.fpi
  3. Save the file to the machine where the Console is installed.
  4. Log into the Console and select Tools > Options from the menu.
  5. Select Modules > Install. The Open dialog box opens.
  6. Browse to and select the saved component .fpi file.
  7. Select Install. The Installation screen opens.
  8. Read the License Agreement. The installation cannot proceed unless you accept the License Agreement.
  9. After you have read the License Agreement, select I agree to the License Agreement to confirm that you have read and agree to its terms, and then select Install. The installation cannot proceed unless you agree to the License Agreement.
  10. When the installation completes, select Close to close the window. The installed component is displayed in the Modules pane.

  11. Start the plugin. In Tools > Options > Modules, right-click on the component name in the Modules pane. In the menu that appears, click Start.

  12. To confirm that your installed and configured component is running, in Tools > Options > Modules, hover over the component name in the Modules pane to view a tooltip indicating whether it is running on   devices in your deployment.
