The plugin works by pushing Microsoft vulnerability update information to the HPS Inspection Engine installed on Appliances. These updates are used when working with vulnerability policies and are downloaded at the endpoint.

Users can reduce network bandwidth during this process by limiting the number of concurrent HTTP downloads to endpoints. By default, the maximum is 20.
