Specifying case workflows

Clicking the Case Workflow tab under Account Settings allows   users to program a specific progression for case statuses.

The various case statuses are displayed and, by default, Any status is valid for progression. Use the dropdown next to a case status to program a progression to one or more specific case status(es).

Do not specify a case status progression that will result in a loop. Consider the table below, which shows three case statuses programmed to progress to other case statuses such that a loop will be created:
Status Permitted Next Status
Detection And Analysis Containment, Remediation
Containment Detection And Analysis, Remediation
Remediation Containment, Detection And Analysis

The programmed progression in the table above creates a loop where there is no way to get the case to resolve out of a continuous progress to these three statuses. Any programmed progression that has selected "Any" or "Resolved" as a status will not be considered a loop. If a loop has been programmed, the UI will warn you at the bottom of the Account Settings window.
