Upgrade the Operational Technology Plugin
Avoid Host Duplication When Upgrading the OT Plugin
Upgrading the OT Plugin can re-trigger the duplicate-host problem if the IP Reuse Domain (IRD) mapping is not verified before the Enable host information forwarding option is enabled. To avoid this:
-
Disable the Enable host information forwarding option. This stops host data from flowing while the mapping and plugin version are in transition.
-
Remove hosts in eyeInspect that were sourced from eyeSight. This clears records tied to the pre-upgrade identity so they cannot collide with re-synced data.
-
Upgrade the OT Plugin to the v3.2.1 (as described in the Step by step guide below).
Continue with steps 4-6 below after upgrading to eyeSight version 9.1.6
-
Verify that the IP Reuse Domain mapping is correct for every connected Command Center.
-
If the mapping was found to be incorrect in step 4, perform a host cleanup on eyeSight as well before continuing.
-
Re-enable the Enable host information forwarding option. Normal host sync resumes now that the mapping is verified.
