Upgrade the eyeSight-eyeInspect Integration

 

Before you upgrade from a previous version:
  • Verify that the Operational Technology Plugin communicates successfully with the eyeInspect Command Center.
  • Verify that the Integrated Sensors (on the Appliances) are activated and communicate successfully with the Command Center.
  • If you have applied certificate override options to deploy the ForeScout.CA signed certificate on the Command Center, Operational Technology Plugin, and Integrated Sensor, back up all files under the /usr/local/forescout/plugin/otsm/certs/ and /usr/local/forescout/plugin/otsm/nids/cert/ folders for future reference. It is recommended to restore the Command Center keystore and truststore to accept the default SD certificate.
  • If you have applied your own custom certificates, it is recommended to back up all files under the /usr/local/forescout/plugin/otsm/certs/ and /usr/local/forescout/plugin/otsm/nids/cert/ folders. Later on, after upgrading, you can import these certificates. For more information about custom certificates, see the eyeInspect Custom Certificates Guide at eyeInspect Custom Certificates Guide.
To upgrade the eyeSight-eyeInspect integration:
  1. Upgrade the Operational Technology Plugin. See Upgrade the Operational Technology Plugin .
  2. Start the Operational Technology Plugin.
  3. Connect the Operational Technology Plugin to the Command Centers. See Configure the Operational Technology Connections to the Command Center in the Operational Technology Plugin Configuration Guide.
  4. Operational Technology (Module) versions below 2.0.0 optionally utilized Integrated Sensors, which were installed on the Appliances.
    Continue with one of the following options:
    If there are no Integrated Sensors in the previous eyeSight-eyeInspect integration, and you do not need to install a Passive Sensor on Operational Technology Plugin 3.0.0:

    Continue with Step 6.
    If there are no Integrated Sensors in the previous eyeSight-eyeInspect integration, but you need to install a Passive Sensor on Operational Technology Plugin 3.0.0:

    Continue with Step 5.

    If Integrated Sensors were installed in the previous Forescout Platform eyeSight-eyeInspect integration, and this is the first time you installed the Passive Sensor Plugin:

    		Run the fstool service restart command on the Enterprise Manager or Standalone Appliance.
  5. Install the Passive Sensors. See Install the Passive Sensor Plugin in the Passive Sensor Plugin Release Notes.
  6. If you have applied custom certificates, refer to the eyeInspect Custom Certificates Guide
  7. Verify that the Operational Technology Plugin communicates successfully with the Command Center.
