Accessing Forescout Cloud for the first time

New users access Forescout Cloud for the first time through local authentication. Once you gain initial access through local authentication, you can then configure an Identity Provider to set up SSO authentication for your organization.

Before you can log in to the Forescout Cloud platform for the first time through local authentication, you must provide an email address to your Forescout customer operations representative to associate with your Forescout Cloud user account.

Forescout will then use the email address you provide to add you as a user to the Forescout Cloud platform.

If you are unsure whether your chosen email address has been added as a new user, contact your Forescout account representative.

With your corporate email address added to the Forescout Cloud Platform by your Forescout representative, you can access the platform for the first time. Select the local authentication method appropriate for the cloud service hosting your instance of Forescout Cloud:

• First time access: Local authentication using Okta

• First time access: Local authentication using a Google Identity (Auth0)

Once you successfully accessed the Forescout Cloud platform through local authentication, you can then configure an Identity Provider to provide single sign-on (SSO) access for additional users, which Forescout recommends. The following Identity Providers can be configured:

• Single Sign-On (SSO) using a Microsoft Identity

• Single Sign-On (SSO) using a Google Identity

• SSO using an Identity Provider that supports OpenID Connect

• SSO using an Identity Provider that supports SAML

• SSO using a Microsoft Azure SAML configuration
